Corps, Army of the Potomac, to September, 1864. In August 1864, the officers of the Normal School
Company received a commission appointing Sidney Burroughs to a second lieutenancy in the
regiment. Captain Wood forwarded the commission to Thomas Burroughs, Sidney's father. Second
Brigade, Third Division, Ninth Corps, to December, 1864. Third Brigade, Second Division, Twenty-fifth Corps, and Department of Texas, to November, 1865. Regiment lost during service 3 Officers
and 48 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 123 Enlisted men by disease.
