Franklin A. Wilder, of Watertown, Jefferson County, graduated from the Normal School in 1860. He taught 2 years before the war, and taught 2 years in Staten Island after the war. He joined the Normal School Company with the others in August 1862. He was discharged as an invalid in 1864, and lost his sight in one eye due to an illness in the army. In 1870 he married Miss Luthera A. Green. He had 2 children with her. Due to illness, he was forced to quit working in 1885. In 1895 he lived in Lansingburgh, N.Y., just north of Troy. (1)
